Welcome to Almus Farms. Almus, in Latin means “nourishing” or “to nourish”. That’s exactly our goal here at our little family farm in Southeast Idaho. We produce pasture raised chicken, turkey, eggs, raw dairy, raw dairy products, fresh sourdough bread, baked goods, dry goods, fermented foods, seasonal produce, Nigerian dwarf goats and we offer natural (chemical free) brush and clearing services with our herd.
From Our Family To Yours
We prepare foods by honoring the old ways. We traditionally preserve foods through fermentation, pickling, dehydration and canning are our specialties. As members of the Weston A Price Foundation, we believe in promoting traditional diets and nourishing foods similar to the way our ancestors fed their families.
The research and data is clear. Those who stick to their cultural and traditional diet and nutrition and eat less sugary, processed, manufactured products tend to live longer, healthier and happier lives.
At Almus Farms, this is what we try to do. Our kitchen brings you the same types of foods and products that grandma would have made for her family prior to industrialization. The more natural and minimal the ingredients, the better!
